So förra Torsdagen så spelade jag och några vänner Warhammer quest. här kommer en kort sammanfattning av vårat äventyr

The Quest For The Legendary Dwarven Ring

We start our day in the Town of Branhoff as the master of the dwarf guild approach the adventuring party. He explains to them that an evil band of chaos cultists had broken into the dwarven guild hall and a legendary relic of great power is missing. If the party could help to reclaim this relic they would be handsomely rewarded.

Off course they could not turn the dwarf down so they packed their bags drank the last of the wine and mead and set off towards the broken old guard tower of Northgard three weeks towards the Drakenwald forest.

They soon reached the old broken guard tower the stones blackened from an ancient fire and they started to go down into its dark depths. With a deep clang the doors locked behind the party as 5 Chaos Warrios strode out of the darkness drawing swords that blazed in sickly green runes!

These where no mere chaos cultist something larger where afoot as the nobles guns fires the flashes gleaming off armor and painting the scene in a yellowish glow the Chaos spawns roars into the smoke! blade flickering, war cries and screams soon drowning out everything else as steel meets steel.

The last Chaos warrior is soon felled to the floor with a dull clang! its armor pierced in a dozen places by the skilled imperial Noble Lady Katharine as the Elf Wardancer was holding a gleaming ring his wounds slowly knitting together

The nobleman Joseph Von Brugen tries the door finding it locked shut the only way forward is into the dark gloom they raise the lantern its feeble light seems small in the encroaching darkness as they continue onwards. A shrill echoing laughter is heard deep inside the dungeon and the nobleman’s fingers briefly touches a family amulet hoping the patron will protect him in the hours to come and to bolster his courage.

The party continues onwards the nobleman leading the group the lantern making shadow dance on the walls as they continues down tight corridors the farther they go the more warped the stones becomes as if they are made out of a molten wax. Soon enough a raw new passageway breaks into the old towers corridors a stone bridge spawning over an endless chasm. As the warriors steps out on it they can feel the stone throbbing slow and steady as if a hearth beat echoes through the rock itself

Soon they can see a opening on the other side hurrying over and out of breath they soon encounters a iron door a Hellish glow and heat radiating from the other side Readying themselves they charge into a brightly lit forge a pool of molten rock bubbling in the center chains hanging over the pit and a huge anvil decked in runes that hurt their eyes at one end as its empty they slowly spread out and starts to head towards the door on the other side. But before they manage to come half way across avoiding the huge fiery pit hands and heads starts to thrust upwards from the molten depths!

Undead starts to crawl out their bones and skin still flickering in fire, magic glowing dully in their eye sockets moans of despair and endless pain bubbling from their mouths that makes the party stagger. The elf is the first to come to his senses looping of heads and out thrust glowing hot arms in flickers of steel!*

As they dispatch the last undead, pushing it corpse into the flickering fire of the forge a deep throaty growl is heard the way they came and three huge armored hounds crashes into the room bowling the noble woman over right as she fires her pistol!

The Elf and the nobleman Fights the other hounds! barely keeping them at bay before one of them clamps its jaws over the elf’s leg pulling him to the ground with a snarl as they rolls claws fangs, Arms and glittering swords entangled in a deadly struggle!

The nobleman coolly dispatched the hound facing him a shoot from his pistol piercing the skull sending pieces of it over the room and forge where they hissed and cooked hitting the hot surface. The elf soon got the better of his opponent his twin swords striking deep into the flesh of the oversized mutt.

Meanwhile Lady Katharine finished off her assailant a bloody and torn dress the most of her injuries. Wiping their brows and looking at each other they gathered themselves. Then! two hidden doors slams open one opening above the anvil and dozens of huge rats as large as small dogs squeaking in a frenzy with spikes sprouting from their hides and eyes glowing with evil energies spills out over the Elf and nobleman biting and scratching in a frenzy*

As the Lady turns around an arrow strikes her! but clangs off her richly gilded breastplate. A large centaur wielding a bow is seen in the other doorway it draws another arrow but not before the Lady fires her pistol! it bucks in her hand the bullet piercing the chest of the creature forcing it back into the darkness she darts after it disappearing beyond the doorway sword drawn!

The elf’s sword flicker and the noblemans rapier dashes striking rats down left and right leaving red smears of smashed fur. The frenzy soon stops, the huge rat’s dead or dying. The elf and noble had several large cuts and bites that were bleeding profoundly. The noble brings out his amulet again, a soft glow radiating from it as the elf’s wounds slowly starts to knit together..

They don’t gather their breath for long but starts to dash towards the door where the lady and the large centaur disappeared.

Except from the crackling fire and their boots hitting rock everything is quiet. As they reach the doorway the Lady steps out holding her bloody red sword a shallow cut across her cheek. She gives them a court nod and a confident smile showing that she is alright.

They move towards the next door and can feel power throbbing on the other side they swing the doors open!. In the center of the room lays the ring and it glows brightly white as crude runes blaze in a circle around it. Scanning each corner carefully Joseph steps forward and his hand closes around the ring.

In a heartbeat the light stops throwing the room into a inky blackness and slowly the runes on the floor throbs pink and violet the whole room shaking as the walls flow and morph creatures coming forming out of the walls themselves round with huge maws and elongated arms ending in hideous claws pink and blue as a horrible skittering growling laughter fills the chamber chilling everyone to their bones.

    “DEAMONS!”

The wardancer spins and flows between his horrible foes as the noble’s guns barks yet again! His swift strokes cutting of limps and piercing through unnatural flesh! Some of the huge pink horrors falls only to have their skin knit together forming even more adversaries smaller but just as fierce as they scratch and claws! A few of them disappears as they are cut down thankfully thinning the horde.

Lady Katharine is hard pressed a pink horror sweeping her off her feet’s and into the wall and she can barely keep it at bay using her sword stabbing at it furiously her slender sword piercing it skin many times over as its grins madly at her a hissing ooze seeping out of the wounds.

Joseph cuts a horror in twain as he touches his old family heirloom he can feel power seeping into him the fear seeping his strength disappears and he sweeps his sword in a figure eight clearing a space around himself cutting a score of daemons down hideous shrieks bubbles away as they dissolves. He hurriedly comes to the lady’s aid helping her up as they stand back to back fending off the last frenzy filled daemons.

Soon the fight is over dissolving goo of daemons hissing in puddles the help each other bandaging wounds and wiping brows and cleaning weapons. What foul horrors did the daemons want with this ring is on everyone’s mind. They gather up and start to head back...still they have not found the key to the door...they look at each other worry in their eyes as they all wonder if they will be trapped in these daemon infested halls untill their end?

As they starts to head over the bridge they are suddenly attacked by orcs! Huge black orcs their eyes glowing in a reddish glow, huge axes in their arms and their skin carved in evil runes. The fight is fast and brutal the elf holding the bridge as the nobles use their gun to good effect several of the brutes dropping into the endless pit below their howls soon disappearing as the darkness swallows them. the Elf takes a deep wound to his chest almost loosing his footing on the slippery surface but the last of the orcs are dead.

On one of the orcs a key glitters in the light of the lantern, it’s time to head home.

On a side note: Well back in town the elf almost gets assassinated twice. We threw money in the face of beggars had mistrels sing our praise and shot a cow

We also got a EPIC quest that involves a looming civil war in the empire, Two armies, Experimental magic, Chaos magic and daemons and one of the fabled Runefangs. This will end well....
